Tony Luib is a fine artist who predominantly works in painting and sculpture, creating communities of familiar yet foreign objects. His work finds a middle ground between landscape and figure. It’s an exploration of human emotion and interaction using microscopic-inspired abstractions. He’s constantly inspired by patterns found in nature to mimic and believes that alone can be substantial narrative.
Tony Luib was born in Lucerne, Switzerland and grew up in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Tony Luib earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Columbus College of Art & Design in Ohio. He began his fine art career in San Francisco before establishing it for almost two decades in New York City. Recently, he has immigrated to Canada to raise his child with his wife and her extended family in Toronto.
